  • EXTOXNET - The EXtension TOXicology NET
    The EXTOXNET InfoBase provides a variety of information about pesticides. Pesticide Information Profiles (PIPs) have specific information on pesticides. Toxicology Information Briefs (TIBs) contain a discussion of concepts in toxicology and environmental chemistry. Other topic areas include:Toxicology Issues of Concern (TICs), Factsheets, News about Toxicology Issues, Newsletters, Resources for Toxicology Information, and Technical Information. Information in these topic areas primarily has been developed by toxicologists and chemists within the Extension Service of the land-grant universities listed below. A major goal has been to develop unbiased information in a form understandable by the non-expert, and to make that information fully searchable and selectively retrievable.
  • Top 20 Hazardous Substances
    This annual evaluation activity fulfills the conditions of CERCLA section 104 (i), as ammended, which requires ATSDR and EPA to revise the priority list of hazardous substances (N=275) periodically to include additional hazardous substances. Each chemical is identified with a Rank Number and includes an ATSDR Public Health Statement. The Public Health Statements were prepared by the ATSDR Division of Toxicology. They provide general information on the properties of the chemical and answer many health concerns that are voiced by community groups. A full list of the ATSDR Toxicologic Profiles and Public Health Statements can be accessed through the ATSDR HazDat database.
