  • The Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) is the only national organization representing the deans, faculty, and students of accredited schools of public health.
  • Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The CDC is the the lead federal agency for protecting the national health and safety.
    • CDC Learning Connection The Learning Connection helps you locate public health learning products.
    • CDC Wonder An easy-to-use system that provides a single point of access to a wide variety of CDC reports, guidelines, and numeric public health data.
    • CDC Public Health Training Network (PHTN) The Public Health Training Network is a multimedia distance learning system for the worldwide public health workforce.
    • Epi Info A downloadable public-domain software package. It provides easy form and database construction, data entry, and analysis with epidemiologic statistics, maps, and graphs.
    • Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH): Metrics, Incentives, and Partnerships for Population Health.
  • The Center for Law and the Publics Health (a partnership of Georgetown and Johns Hopkins) The site contains a link to the Centers publication, Center Insights.
  • Guatemala-UVa Free or low-cost health resources.
  • HealthMap A new Google Maps mashup that plots real-time worldwide infectious disease outbreaks.
  • Healthy People 2020 A statement of national health objectives.
  • Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation
  • The Kerr White Health Care Collection An interdisciplinary resource for the study of health systems, epidemiology, public health and health care research
  • The Lancet Global Health Portal Free access to the Lancet’s World Reports and Perspectives articles plus The Lancet Global Health Series, and Regional Reports and Commissions.
  • Making Data Talk: A Workbook An overview of the main points contained in the book Making Data Talk: Communicating Public Health Data to the Public, Policy Makers, and the Press.
  • MIDAS: Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study Midas researches the use of computational and mathematical models that will prepare the nation to respond to outbreaks of infectious diseases. Download "TransStat," software that can be used to enter and store infectious disease data.
  • Model Practice Database Promising practices from NACCHO.
  • National Collaborating Centres for Public Health in Canada Introduction to Evidence-Informed Decision Making module.
  • The National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature (NRCBL) at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, maintains a collection of books, journals, newspaper articles, legal materials, regulations, codes, government publications, audiovisuals, and other documents concerned with issues in biomedical and professional ethics. Search these materials on two specialized databases, ETHXWeb and GenETHX.
  • NationMaster Use this resource to graphically compare nations with data from the CIA World Factbook, UN, and OECD.
  • The New York Academy of Medicine Grey Literature Report The site provides links to the Grey Literature Report, which is a compilation of publications that are "non-conventional, fugitive, and sometimes ephemeral" in the area of public health and health policy.
  • Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Workforce This site was developed by U.S. government agencies, public health organizations, and health sciences libraries to organize and deliver public health resources so they are easier to find and use.
  • Public Health Infrastructure Resource Center (PHIRC) This searchable Web site is a compilation of online tools and resources for public health workers to build the capacity of their own agency or organizations infrastructure.
