Connecting to Health Sciences Library Resources from Off-site Clerkships

The following links provide third-year medical students with access to key Library resources while they are on clerkship assignments away from the UVa Health System.�Students have the option of using Claude Moore Health Sciences Library resources, the library resources of host institutions, or both.

Connecting to Claude Moore Health Sciences Library Resources

Click on the links below to access Library databases, online books, and online journals.� When prompted, log in with your UVA computing ID and your e-mail or Eservices password.

Connecting to Host Institutions’ Library Services and Resources (Carilion, INOVA, and Salem VA)

All sites provide access to information resources such as UpToDate. See the page describing access to library services at Carilion, INOVA, and Salem VA Medical Center for more information.

Connection Issues

Known issues include incompatibility between older browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer 5.5 on some Carilion computers) and certain databases (Ovid). For assistance with access problems please contact Inhye Son, Health Sciences Library at 434-924-0057 or iks4j@virginia.edu.
