Media Studio
What Can I Do in the Media Studio?
Get Video
The first step is to get your media, or bring your existing media on VHS, DVD, MiniDV tape, FLASH memory, slides, photos, or other formats. If shooting video, a digital camcorder will work. If you don't own one, check one out from the Health Sciences Library.
Edit
Next you need to select the important portions and, if they are bound for a movie or slide show, put them in order. We can help you learn how to edit your footage into an engaging final product. Whether you are editing a 30-second procedure for use in a PowerPoint slideshow or producing a two-hour movie, we have the tools you'll need and the time to teach you how to use them to create your masterpiece, then crop, clip, and swap scenes as well as add titles and sound.
Final Product
Your final product can go on the Web, in a PowerPoint slideshow, or be burned to DVD for an audience large or small.

She uses this "birth montage" of beautiful birth images set to music during the final class in the childbirth education series to send couples out on a positive, energized note.
Description
This is a small part of the DVD that was made for Central Venous Catheter Discharge Instructions. It shows a good example of creating DVD menus. Patients could watch different portions of the video, depending on what pertained to them. All the people who worked hard on this project are listed in the beginning of the video.
