Introduction

Palm PDA devices may be manually configured to access the unsecured wireless network at UVa. The Health Sciences Library provides these instructions as a courtesy to patrons requesting assistance with PDA wireless setup. It does not imply support from ITC for these services on a PDA.

Step By Step

  1. Locate the MAC address of the PDA. MAC addresses for Palms with integrated wireless are on the back of the PDA.
  2. Using a desktop or laptop computer, navigate to https://netreg.itc.virginia.edu and register the MAC address of the Palm. Registration will be active five minutes after entering the MAC address and other requested information.
  3. On the PDA, tap Prefs, then Wi-Fi .
  4. If not prompted to set up Wi-Fi, tap Setup, then Edit, then Add .
  5. Enter wahoo as the SSID, then tap OK .
  6. Tap Yes to connect now.
